It was throwning some wild pitches and mixing in a few good ones. Then I mounted it to a approx. 2ft by 2ft piece of plywood. It works much better now but it still throws some wild. The machine is light (maybe about 10 pounds) so the force from the throw kicks back moving the machine. Maybe by anchoring some weight to it would better. We used it about a hour and 1/2 hour straight with the other kids in the neighborhood with no problems. We have used it 3 times now and I have seen an improvement in my son's level and confidence. Only comes with 3 balls so check into getting more.

This machine isn't what I had in mind. The way they describe the machine it seems like it would work for adults also. I was hoping to get some practice fielding fly balls but when I tried the machine the furthest I could get the machine to throw the balls was 20 yards. I arched the machine as much as I could but it didn't work like I thought it would. I think this machine would be good for a kid that is just starting to get into baseball.

generally works ok. A bit instable in that the mechanism drifts after each pitch. This is apparently because the feet don't stick well to the ground surface we've been using at our home. Requires constant readjustment to get maybe 2 good pitches out of 5.

I purchased this for my 7 year old this christmas. We could not get 2 consecutive pitches to come out the same way. After engaging in a small engineering project to level out the machine on a plywood base; anchoring the legs etc. I had to pack it up and return it. It is unusable - I am very surprised that it performed so badly for a commercial product. What was the design/testing criteria ?

We recieved this item for our 3 boys to practice baseball. The first day that we got it, we set it up and realized that it does not work. It doesn't get power for some reason. Hmm..
Of course, we have it plugged in and everything has been checked. I am sure this is a good product (the other reviews is why I bought it) BUT, I am disappointed that this one is not working. What a bummer for the kids.
We are returning it with the no hassle return policy and will (hopefully) have better luck with another one.
