These “MLB” licensed baseballs are TRASH. Literally, every single one broke in half on the first swing of the wiffle bat. 8 balls, 8 pitches, 8 splits. They all split at the seam and are made of plastic that is too hard. I can’t believe Major League Baseball would license this product. Luckily we had a pack of regular wiffle balls (which didn’t break once) and were able to finish the game.
These balls apparently are endorsed by major league baseball. they’ve been hit lots of times and seem to just keep asking for more. They have excellently spaced holes that allow one to blast the tar out of them (with a wiffle ball bat) and they travel as far as one might expect — i.e., the distance is dialed down. i play in the backyard with my boys, and they can slug away without worrying about losing the ball in the next door neighbor’s blackberry bush. and if they do send one off into the bushes, especially this time of year, we can search and eat at the same time. these plastic baseballs are good value for the price.
